Pérez Cruz Reserva Sauvignon Blanc 2015, Casablanca, Chile

Established in the 1990s, the family-owned-and-operated Perez Cruz has risen to become one of Chile’s most recognized and respected producers. This boutique winery excels in delivering expressive, terroir-driven wines across their entire portfolio. This Sauvignon Blanc is from Casablanca, the cool-climate coastal region that was first planted in the 1980s.The influence of the Pacific Ocean provides a long growing season and, more specifically, a long ripening period that allows these wines to develop the ripe flavour and balanced vibrancy and freshness which is the hallmark of Casablanca.

Domaine Le Grand Retour Plan de Dieu Côtes du Rhône-Villages 2014

There are historical documents that describe viticulture in the Plan de Dieu area as far back as the Middle Ages. The wines were elevated to Côtes du Rhône-Villages status in 2005. Made from 70% Grenache with 20% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre, this wine delivers big red berry fruit and savoury herbs. Pair with garlicky beef or mutton burgers.
