Aure Wines is a family run operation since 2007. At that time the farm’s principal crop was Concord grape used for making juice.  We have removed these vines, keeping two rows for prosperity and have installed drainage and irrigation to the north of the farm where we have planted vinifera vines. Our varieties are Gamay, Cabernet Franc and Siegerrebe. We kept the existing 50 year old Marechal Foche with its small crop of good quality grapes, the care given these produces an intense flavored, full bodied wine.  We are proud to introduce Ottawa to two wonderful wines from a boutique Ontario winery; $5/glass.

White from red; in this style of wine, red grapes are made into a white wine. Bright notes of pear and tropical fruits will please any palate.

2012 GAMAY – VQA
This Gamay is un-oaked letting the fruit fully express itself. And express it does, with dark fruits and black pepper on the nose and palate. It has a nice finish with hints of cherries.
